Day 1 of Super High Roller Bowl V was filled with worldclass tournament poker and some amazing reads and folds.
Hollywood home game legend Rick Salomon was the only player, who used his two add-on chips before the start and this strategy paid off as he finished the day on top with 806,000 chips.
Another player, who managed to play his absolute A-Game was Kid Poker Daniel Negreanu. He made some impressive reads including one of the best folds of the year 2018 against Mikita „fish2013“ Badziakouski:

In the second half of the day, poker wizards Ike Haxton and Stephen Chidwick took over. The latter managed to bust Daniel Negreanu in 9th and also made Mikita “fish2013” Baziakouski the unlucky bubble boy, after winning a preflop all-in with Pocket Tens against AK.
The two will start today’s final table as head-to-head chipleaders: Ike Haxton is chipleader (2.415.000 chips), but Stephen Chidwick is hot on his heals with 2.405.000.
Completing the final table are Igor Kurganov, Ali Imsirovic, Talal Shakerchi and tournament crusher Adrian Mateos:
