GGPoker ambassador Daniel Negreanu has revealed his most ambitious WSOP schedule yet for the 2025 series which kicks off in two months.

The Canadian poker legend is now 50-years-old but still more determined than ever to win that eighth gold bracelet.
My potential WSOP 2025 Schedule:
53 events with two days off potentially
Main Event on July 4th possibly for the first time
All the high stakes NLH, PLO, and Mixed
Some smaller events on the schedule this year
And for the first time in my life I am officially eligible to…

Daniel Negreanu to Play in the Seniors Event
The 2025 World Series of Poker kicks off on May 27 and will run through to July 16. The venue will of course be the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas casinos, and we will see a record 100 bracelet events.
Of that 100 tournaments, Daniel Negreanu intends on playing 53 of them. And not only that, because for the first time ever, he will be playing the $5,000 Seniors High Roller. The event drew a field of 680 last year and we expect it to be well-supported this summer.
Negreanu won the $50,000 Poker Players Championship last year, ending an 11-year wait, but there is another minor drought that he wants to end this year — he actually hasn’t had a profitable series since 2021.
Even after winning $1.1 million in his bracelet event, he still ended up stuck for $170,000.

According to the tweet, Negreanu will be in action from the very first event, playing in the $1,000 buy-in Mystery Millions. And, if he’s true to his word, he is expecting only two days off for the whole series and the first one doesn’t come around until after 23 days of play.
That’s some serious motivation for a guy who has competed in the World Series of Poker 27 times.
And then there’s the Player of the Year race — Negreanu is always interested in challenging for that title. If he’s seriously in the hunt then we could see him trying to play every day!
The schedule is always open to adjustment but we can see that he will always prioritise the biggest buy-ins. That said, there are plenty of $1,000-1,500 events pencilled in. For those itching to get drawn at a table with Negreanu, there will be a lot of opportunities outside of the high rollers.
If there’s anything at all that we can glean from all of this, it’s that Daniel Negreanu still loves poker as much as the day he started.
