Don’t Slow Roll: Slow rolling is the height of bad manners at the poker table. When a player takes an excessive amount of time before revealing a winning hand at showdown, it creates unnecessary tension at the table.

This behaviour is widely regarded as disrespectful and tales abound of physical confrontations over this kind of thing.

Avoid Angle Shooting: Angle shooting refers to using unethical tactics to gain an advantage over opponents without outright cheating. This can take the form of making unclear actions or misrepresenting intentions.

While it may not always be against the rules, angle shooting is considered extremely poor etiquette and will destroy your reputation.

This behaviour can frustrate other players who will naturally feel cheated out of an opportunity to win the money back.

Consider playing at least several hands after winning big before deciding whether to leave. Players will consider you a poor choice of opponent if you do this frequently.

And if you are lucky enough to get invited to soft private games, this could be enough for you to not be invited back.

Avoid Disruptive Behaviour: Being loud or obnoxious during gameplay will distract others and disrupt their focus.

There are actually players out there who will waste time on purpose for the sake of not revealing when they have a quick and simple decision. Don’t be like that!
