There were 155 entries to the $10,300 weekly MTT for the big boys and girls of GGPoker, easily breaking the $1million guarantee. Thoe who made it to the money but fell short of the livestreamed final table included:

  • Bruno Volkmann (18th for $ 20,582)
  • David Peters (14th $20,582)
  • Adrian Mateos (11th for $28,427)
  • Artur Martirosian (10th for $33,408)

The caliber of player at the deep end continued with the likes of Bryn Kenney, Benjamin Rolle, and Duco Haven making it to the final nine, with $45k locked up and plenty more to play for, up top.

Calling the action in the commentary booth alongside host Jeff Gross this week was Luc Greenwood, himself a previous GGMillion$ SHR champion.

Bryn Kenney, the world’s leading live tournament moneywinner with more than $70million to his name was the first to draw blood, ousting shortstacked Denis Zelenkin when his overcards hit on the river to defeat the Russians pocket fives.

Ignacio Moron’s fall was an interesting hand, with  Haven opening the action with a small, suited ace, Rolle 3-betting the button, Plausinaitis folding another ace in the small blind and Moron sitting with big slick offsuit in the big blind, with some 23 BBs behind.

The Spaniard couldn’t get away from it, shoving and receiving a snap-call from Rolle after Haven folded…

Rolle: K♥ K♣

Moron: A♥ K♠

Flop: Q♥ 8♦ K♦

Turn: 9♦

River: 10♥

The other Russian, Viktor Ustimov, hit the rail in 7th when his pocket queens lost blind-on-blind to Plausinaitis’ A♦ J♥ and the Lithuanian followed up by putting Petersen in the blender when a cooler flop appeared…

With six-figure paydays now sewn up, the run-good didn’t stop there for Plausinaitis, taking Rolle’s stack with queens against ace-king and then dispatching Kenney…

Kenney: K♣ 10♠

Plausinaitis: 4♠ 4♣

Flop: 9♥ 8♠ 4♥

Turn: Q♣

River: 2♦

That left just three to fight out the podium spots, Plausinaitis well lout front in the chip counts while Haven and Lahmani were roughly equal and soon got it all-in, the Israeli’s K♥ 6♥ unable to outdraw the Dutch pro’s 5♠ 5♦

Heads-up, Haven was going for his 5th GGMillion$ SHR title while Plausinaitis was aiming for a maiden win on just his 4th attempt. Haven was a 3:1 dog in chips but fought back to take the lead courtesy of an all-in with big slick against A9off.

The pendulum swung back when Plausinaitis got paid on the river with a jack-high flush against top and bottom pair, and then the final hand was worth the wait…

Plausinaitis shoved and Haven made the call…

Plausinaitis: 8♥ 8♣

Haven: A♦ 6♦

…the flop making it all very interesting…

Flop: 3♥ Q♦ 7♦

When the turn came…

Turn: 8♦

…a huge reversal seemed on the cards, but the river had its own ideas…

River: 7♠

…filling Plausinaitis’ boat and giving him the title and a huge payday.
