Derek Adamian is the Big Deal for One Drop champion, the inaugural event hosted by Cirque du Soleil and One Drop founder Guy Laliberté.
A group of faces from the world of poker and Formula One among other celebrities entered the $10,000 buy-in event at Resort World during the glitz and glamour of the Formula One weekend in Las Vegas.
The event was MC’d by none other than Phil Hellmuth who got into the spirit by wearing a custom-made sports jersey featuring One Drop and the World Poker Tour.
Of course the shirt sported the number 17, matching the Poker Brat’s WSOP bracelet record.
All-Star Cast
There were plenty of high-profile names lining up to take a shot in the first edition of the Big Deal for One Drop.
From the racing world we saw double F1 world champion Mika Häkkinen seated with his former colleagues Martin Brundle, Alex Wurz, and David Coulthard. Former F1 team principal Otmar Szafnauer was also present.
But these guys all had to face off against a line-up of talented poker players, including Dan “Jungleman” Cates, Jennifer Tilly, Tony Dunst, Antonio Esfandiari, Jeff Gross, and Matthias Eibinger.
Adam Pliska, President and CEO of the World Poker Tour, said:
“We are very happy with how this inaugural event came together. The Big Deal for One Drop showcased the perfect blend of fun, competition, and meaningful impact, creating an afternoon to remember.”
There were some pretty nice prizes on offer in this event. Each selected one at a time from the winner back.

As usual, the One Drop poker tournaments are all about supporting the One Drop Foundation which continually strives to provide safe drinking water to communities in need, as well as better sanitation and hygiene.
