A raft of platform changes are to be implemented on GGPoker Netherlands, following updated gambling regulations in the country.
These will take effect today — September 27 — in anticipation of the law’s official start date of October 1.
Dutch media outlet CasinoNieuws reported the following statement a fortnight ago:
“As you may know, changes to the Dutch gambling legislation will come into effect on October 1st, 2024.
“New laws are being implemented by both the Netherlands Gambling Authority and the Ministry of Justice and Security. In order to comply with these laws, we will be implementing several updates to our platform.”
New Rules for GGPoker Netherlands

Any player who elects to raise their personal limit will be presented with a questionnaire that will be reviewed by GGPoker Netherlands’ Responsible Gaming department following a seven-day waiting period.
This is not a change that the Dutch regulators are taking lightly. All requests to raise deposit limits must be verified by GGPoker Netherlands.
Any request to deposit more than €700/€300 for over/under 24-years-old must be accompanied by proof of sufficient income.
Although these new laws will make it tougher to survive in the Dutch market, operators such as GGPoker are stable enough to continue without any negative effect on player experience.
