Nik Airball has been accused of being less than truthful about the source of his wealth in a recent interview.
The former Hustler Casino Live reg appeared on the poker scene out of nowhere a couple of years ago, playing high stakes against top-tier players.
And since that time, the 28-year-old has been doggedly questioned about the source of his apparent wealth with few people believing any of his answers.
Just listen to the absurdity of this nonsense.
🤡 "I have a 5k/mo job, who cares if I dust this $500k nest egg, that i by the way have somehow acquired by the age of 26 with no discernable skill set & no i won't tell you how, but just know it's totally legit & DEF all mine."… https://t.co/jwluZc0GvS

Airball’s go-to answer has been his fledgling investment banking career, but how much does an inexperienced banker make? Matt Berkey says it’s nowhere near enough to be sitting down with Garrett Adelstein and having more than half a million dollars on the table.
But now, though, Airball has claimed that when he was playing at Hustler Casino Live, he had more than 90% of his net worth on the table.
He added that his $5,000 per month salary and his wife’s wages would have left them with ample income to live a nice life. Berkey, however, isn’t having it.
Granted, Berkey probably loves to rub it in on his rival after winning more than a million dollars in their heads-up grudge match, but he has some fair questions.
He mentions that Airball has said in the past how he built up that $500,000 stack from playing in $2/$5 games, which is also tough to believe.
Airball said:
“There were multiple times where I’d be playing at Hustler and I would have 90% of my net worth on the table or whatever, like sitting around 500k deep and, you know, I had 50k in the bank account.
“I was lucky enough to run pretty good, and you know at the time I was very focused on like playing good. I think my first year and a half or so on Hustler, I think I was playing pretty f*****g lights out hold’em.
“I would have taken on anyone at the time, and I was crushing everyone, I felt like on-stream and off-stream and stuff.”
Nik Airball Seeks Action for $20K to $1 Million Challenge
There’s nothing like a poker player doubling down on criticism. To that end, Airball has announced he is seeking action for a one year challenge that will see him attempt to turn $20,000 into $1,000,000.
It’s early days to see if anyone is really interested but we think we can assume that given transparency of results is a must under these conditions, the juicy private games Airball is known to play in will be off limits.
So which games exactly will he be planning to target? He says he could turn up at the Aria Casino with $20K and complete the challenge in less than a year.
Over his 128 sessions at Hustler Casino Live, Airball is currently in the red for $201,000. Though that is only for the televised hands and not the full sessions which continue after the cameras are turned off.
We look forward to seeing if this challenge happens and hope that some of the more vocal poker players from the high-stakes scene take his action while keeping us informed of his progress.
