Scott Seiver is also in the running to win his fifth, currently sitting in third place in the $10,000 Omaha Hi/Lo.

Event #5: $1,000 Mystery Millions

The Mystery Millions has finally reached Day 2 after four starting flights which saw an incredible field of 18,409 players fighting it out for that guaranteed seven-figure prize.

Only 393 players remain in the hunt with American Adrian Puccio leading the pack with a more than healthy 84bb in front of Jesse Rockowitz with 65bb.

Play resumes at 11:00 a.m. local time where we will see the field whittled down to the final five players.

Event $8: $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha

Bryce Yockey from the USA was the first bracelet winner of the day. Seven years after capturing his first bracelet he topped a field of 733 entries to bag a first-place prize of $606,654, his best ever.

Speaking to the media after his win, Yockey said:

“There’s no feeling like it. Like winning a tournament, especially a WSOP tournament is just a highlight of anyone’s poker career.

“I feel validated because I’ve worked really hard to get better at PLO specifically, and I feel like it paid off today. I feel really loved because I had a lot of people come and support me.”

Event #9: $1,500 Limit Hold’em

Limit hold’em might be dead and buried in the online world, but it still has plenty of fans in Las Vegas casinos and visitors to the WSOP.

Nick Guagenti emerged victorious in Event #9: $1,500 Limit Hold’em, claiming his second bracelet.

There were only six players left in the event as play resumed on Day 3 and the fans on the rail got to witness an impressive heads-up duel between Guagenti and his fellow American Joseph Brodsky.

Guagenti  is a limit hold’em aficionado from the boom years and after he snatched the lead on Day 2 he was in front for almost all of the rest of the event.

Event #10: $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship

The action is heating up in Event #10: $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship with some big names stamping their authority on the field.

Jared Bleznick and Scott Seiver are in prime position, sitting in second and third place respectively but there is still a long way to go.

Can Bleznick win his first bracelet? The American has $4.5 million in live tournament winnings after being in the game since the boom years. Surely it’s time for him to break his duck.

But Shaun Deeb is currently in seventh place chasing them down to win his seventh bracelet and who would bet against such a player in a championship event?

The action will play down to the final five this evening.
