To most, Mike Postle will forever be the crotch-gazing cheat with a win-rate only ever seen in poker’s darkest days. To a select few supporters, however, Mike Postle is a poker God, and this week saw him being put on a pedestal once again…
To anyone brand new to the game of poker, the tl;dr of Mike Postle’s claim to infamy is that he was outed for cheating on a livestreamed cash game back in late 2019.
The Postlegate scandal, as it came to be known, saw multiple investigations, numerous lawsuits, and even claims of domestic abuse and scams.
More than four years on, Postle appears to have reinvented himself as a tournament player, his most loyal supporters – Rounder Life magazine – cheering the poker cheat on all the way.
“What are the odds? 12 remaining…”, posted RL, as Postle battled it out for a share of the $173,500 prizepool in the $300 buy-in tournament in Ebro.
BREAKING:
Mike Postle gunning for his 4th consecutive Final Table in the only 4 large field events he’s played in 4 1/2 years.
31 remain out of 694 entrants in the 2024 Emerald Coast Spring Classic at Ebro Card Casino in Ebro, Florida.

They also listed Postle’s 3 from 3 deep runs at big events so far since his rebirth…
“Final Tables:
999 at Stones (5th)
1,074 at Beau (6th)
522 at Ebro (9th)
694 at Ebro ?”
Postle’s first return to the poker world actually came early last year, his hoodie and mask disguise, coupled with a fake name, hardly enough to hide poker’s most infamous man.
Good Morning Twitter! Welcome to 2023!
I woke up with a message from @Mawkswell
“Unreal just played with Mike Postle he was using an alias floor confirmed it was him”

This time around, his bid for a 4th final table out of four looked almost guaranteed when he won a big aces battle, but it wasn’t to be for the man once dubbed ‘poker’s Scarlet Pimpernel’ when he was in hiding at the height of the Postlegate scandal.
His bustout hand was caught for posterity, his flopped two pair unable to hold up against top pair and overcard…

Whether Postle’s cash will go towards paying the legal fees of the whistleblower in his case, Veronica Brill, or those he owes another litigant in his failed $300million defamation case, Poker Fraud Alert’s Todd Witteles, remains to be seen.
Brill last month tweeted that she has yet to see a dime of what Postle owes her: “Mike Postle has constantly stated that he will only do an interview with me live 1v1. I am willing to do this on @NickVertucciNV if you bring me the money that you owe me for my winning judgment against you.”
