High-stakes crushers Adrian Mateos and Mario Mosböck have taken down two of the early events at Triton Jeju.
The legendary Spaniard charged through Event #5 – $30k – NL Hold’em 8-Handed to bank a seven-figure payday and nose past the $40 million career earnings mark. An incredible display.
Former footballer Mario Mosböck took down his second Triton title in Event #6 – $25k – GG Million$ Live for $1,191,196. This win brings his Triton earnings up to almost $6 million.
The Conquistador @Amadi_17 is a true humble king 👑🔱
We caught up with Adrian to know his thoughts after he took his well-deserved, first – of surely many more to come – Triton title here at the Triton SHRS Jeju. This a final table you'll want to rewatch again and again – so… pic.twitter.com/6aJ9FqqfBa

Adrian Mateos Wins Triton Jeju Event #5
This win for Adrian Mateos was, incredibly, his first in the popular high roller series.
Ten cashes and even a $3.1 million score in Monte Carlo last year probably didn’t make up for the lack of a victory in his mind.
But at the weekend he finally broke his duck after blitzing the 185-entry field which was stacked with top-tier talent.
David Peters was runner-up after making a return to Triton after a year away, but we reckon the $790,000 for second place is probably worse than an early exit for a guy with such high standards.
These guys hate it when they come so close to banking a win.
Event #5 – $30k – NL Hold’em 8-Handed Results
1 – Adrian Mateos, Spain – $1,175,000
2 – David Peters, USA – $790,000
3 – Yulian Bogdanov, Bulgaria – $557,000
4 – Seth Gottlieb, USA – $452,000
5 – Joao Vieira, Portugal – $358,000
6 – Ramin Hajiyev, Azerbaijan – $271,500
7 – Patrik Antonius, Finland – $198,000
8 – Lun Loon, Malaysia – $145,000
9 – Phil Ivey, USA – $119,000
2 titles in 2 stops! From field to felt, 🇦🇹 @mariomosboeck shows us that composure is key as he climbed up from the bottom of the final table to take Event #6 GG Million$ $25K NLH.
Taking home his second Triton title and $1,191,196, Mosböck is a rising force to be reckoned… pic.twitter.com/TeOV28a5bQ

Mario Mosböck Makes it Two Triton Titles in Event #6
Mario Mosböck is making waves in the high-stakes poker community right now.
The 27-year-old started out in professional life as a footballer in Austria but that obviously wasn’t challenging enough for him.
Now he’s taking on the best that poker has to offer on the most glamorous stages in the game today.
On Tuesday night the Austrian took the top spot once again besting a field of 305 entries and seizing victory on a particularly tough final table.
Alex Theologis, Timothy Adams, and Daniel Dvoress are not really guys you want to be facing off against in any poker tournament.
Let’s see if this budding star has any more success in the remainder of the series before all the players start to think about heading over to Las Vegas for the 2024 WSOP.
