Twitch streamer Kevin Martin has stunned his followers by declaring that he has hit the reset button on his poker career. Last week, he pushed his existing finances to one side and said he was starting again, with absolutely nothing!
I’ve abandoned all my money and my normal life.
I’m restarting my poker career from $0
I have a 24/7 stream showing every second of this challenge.
Good luck me. This is fucking nuts. 🙏🏻 pic.twitter.com/7iNblNvSex

The challenge looks to be somewhat of a 10-year celebration since Martin kicked off his poker career. There are also a few other ideas in the mix too.
Firstly, Martin is one of many professionals with a high-profile in the industry who claim to have started with nothing.
Given the timing of the upcoming anniversary it only seems natural to do it all over again, but this time with all of his followers watching. You see, the entire challenge will take place in front of the cameras 24/7.
Those who are more familiar with Kevin Martin’s career will remember that he twice took part in Big Brother Canada and appeared on Poker After Dark: Game of Gold last year.
A Twitch streamer who represents a major poker site in GGPoker with a love of being in front of the camera: there isn’t a better candidate for the job.
After some painful cards to start my Poker from Zero I have made a final table.
Playing for $932 but feels like a million

Kevin Martin Sets Lofty Goals
Kevin Martin has set himself a couple of goals for the next few months. He would like to amass $5,000, the amount he had in his roll when he decided to turn professional.
He is also hoping to take the record for the longest poker stream in history.
Bankroll challenges are nothing new but we should give Martin some credit for coming up with some originality.
Chris Ferguson famously made $10,000 from nothing all the way back in 2006 on Full Tilt Poker. Doug Polk made the exact same amount in 2018.
We don’t doubt Martin’s ability to get the challenge done but it’s certainly going to give him some rough times when variance kicks in.
Unless he is lucky enough to bank a nice win in the early stages, it is definitely going to seem like a long slog after a while.
The project also has some costs to cover as well. He reckons it will cost $30,000 to keep his staff going and to pay the rent on the apartment.
If the challenge proves to be popular among the fans, then the $10 per new Twitch subscriber will certainly help him along
Kevin Martin, if you’re listening in, why not take a look at our new Bankroll Builder that started this month.
You only need to pay a single dollar to get started and there will be $4,000 up for grabs throughout March.
Individual prize pools range from $125 up to $500 which will set you on the right path to hitting that $5,000 mark which probably seems so far away right now.
We even have $3,000 worth of added value in our exclusive VIP Grinders Freerolls, which are completely without any buy-in requirement. It was never as easy to build a bankroll from $0!
