The iPoker Network has broken its record for an online tournament series after the €7.5 million GTD Elite Series XL Autumn Edition kicked off on Sunday.
This exciting event will host players from around the globe, offering impressive prize pool guarantees and a variety of tournaments catering to all skill levels and bankrolls.
The Elite Series XL runs from September 1 to October 10 and the guarantees are €2 million higher than last year’s edition and €500,000 more than the Elite Series Spring Edition from March.
This series will run across all sites on the iPoker Network, including Guts Poker.
Highlights of the The Elite Series XL Autumn Edition
This record-breaking series features 496 tournaments with ten of those running multi-flight Day 1s.
These multi-flight events are being run with an unusual twist to encourage players to play as many Day 1s as they can.
Usually the players take their best effort through to Day 2 but here all of the Day 1 stacks will be combined.
Buy-ins will range from as little as €2 all the way up to €1,050.
The Autumn Challenger is designated as the Main Event and will run with a €250 buy-in and a €300,000 guarantee.
There was also an adjustment to the PKO and Mystery Bounty structures after players complained about the small size of a min-cash. Now each min-cash will be worth at least 120% of the original buy-in.
The players won the day with table sizes, too. Now we are scheduled to see a lot more six-max and seven-max tables.
