Conrad De Armas goes as chip leader into Day 3
The 2021 WSOP Main Event has just concluded the second Day 2, which means the payouts stand and the field will be combined for the first time on today’s Day 3.
Overall chip leader before the start of Day 3 is US player Conrad De Armas, who bagged an impressive 744,000 chips, topping Day 2ABD chip leader pass Rameez Shahid (731,700).
Team VIP-Grinders continues to impress
Four further VIP-Grinders players Larry Smart, Zoltan Lanszki, Szabolcs Kukucska and Nagygyörgy Tibor made it into Day 3 bringing the total number up to seven.
7 out of 11 players is indeed a great ratio. Fingers crossed that one of them will make it to the feature table and that they all continue their deep runs.
Zoltan Lanszki has the biggest stack of the VIP-Grinders players with 233,500 chips, followed by Szabolcs Kukucska (207,100) and Marcell Csata (157,300). All of them are above average of 138,638.
Shortest stack is Larry Smart with 41,200 chips (20 big blinds) and he will have to fight hard to make the money.

Notable Big Stacks
Biggest name in the Top Ten chip counts of Day 2CEF was 2003 WSOP Main Event Champion Chris Moneymaker, who bagged a whopping 531,600 chips. Matt Glantz even topped that by finishing in 4th place with 580,000.
Further notables in the Top 30 are Victor Ramdin (15./435,000), Jake Daniels (27./340,000) and 2019 WSOP Player of the Year Robert Campbell (30,/327,000).
Phil Hellmuth on the short stack
Phil Hellmuth barely survived with 25,400 chips (12 big blinds) and will have to grind a short stack on Day 3.
Other notable short stacks are Ole Schemion (28,000), Bruno Fitoussi (16,000) and Alexandros Kolonias (11,200).
