About the 2018 Super High Roller Bowl
The 2018 Super High Roller Bowl is running at the Aria Resort & Casino from May 27th to May 30th and the entire event is streamed live on PokerGo, with live streams starting daily at 6 pm ET/12 am CET
This year a field of 48 players will compete for the incredible prize pool of $14,400,000. The winner alone will take home a staggering $5,000,000 as well as the prestigious Super High Roller Bowl championship ring.
30 of the 48 places in the 2018 Super High Roller Bowl were raffled in the Super High Roller Bowl Lottery on 9th of March. 15 VIP players (former winners, top pros or celebrities) were then added to the roster by the ARIA and Pokercentral.
Incredible Final Table
The Final Table of the 2018 Super High Roller Bowl was extremely strong and full of superstars. Chipleader was online crusher Mikita “fish2013” Badziakouski, followed by the Number 1 in the All Time Money List Daniel Negreanu.
The incredible lineup was completed by Jason Koon, Justin Bonomo, Nick “Caecilius” Petrangelo and the defending champion Christoph Vogelsang.
The German and Justin Bonomo both had the chance to win back-to-back Super High Roller Bowls as Bonomo won the Super High Roller Bowl China for $4.8 Million only a couple of weeks ago!
Here are the chipcounts at the start of the Final Table:
Name | Nation | Chip Count |
Justin Bonomo | USA | 3.965.000 |
Christoph Vogelsang | Germany | 445.000 |
Mikita Badziakouski | Belarus | 4.205.000 |
Daniel Negreanu | Canada | 4.000.000 |
Nick Petrangelo | USA | 600.000 |
Jason Koon | USA | 1.185.000 |
First Bustout of the day was Nick Pentrangelo, who hit a cooler by running an overpair into a bigger overpair of Jason Koon.
Defending Champ Christoph Vogelsang started as the absolute shortstack and wasn’t able to turn it around after he pushed from the small blind with Qc-6c and ran into the Pocket Jacks of Badziakouski.
But after that, “fish2013” couldn’t get anything going and busted in 4th for $1.600.000. Jason Koon followed him to the Rail in 3rd place for $2.100.000 after busting short to Justin Bonomo.
Daniel Negreanu vs Justin Bonomo Heads-Up for 5 Million Dollar
The latter had to face poker legend Daniel Negreanu Heads-Up for the chance to win the second Super High Roller Bowl within 9 weeks! Bonomo also had a massive chiplead at the start of the Heads-Up.
