Bellagio Jay’s easy $40k
If it sounds like ‘déjà vu all over again’ that’s because 10 years ago Jay ‘Bellagio Jay’ Kwik won a very similar bet against high-stakes poker pro Andrew Robl.
So easy did Jay – who had pretty much lived in the Bellagio for the decade leading up to it – make it look, that Robl bought out of the 6-figure bet only four days in for $40,000.
But Jay had it somewhat easy, a list of rules that would make a monk scream with joy:
- 400 total minutes of cell-phone usage for the duration of the bet
- the use of a small portable DVD player
- meals will be delivered either by room service or one of his friends.

Complete darkness for the 30 days of the bet:
- No clock to let him know how long he has been inside
- Drug tested to ensure he isn’t taking sleeping pills or other drugs to help him through.
- And there was a little more info to make the challenge even more difficult…

So who is the Bathroom Better this time?
Rumour has it, as our title states, that it’s serial prop better and 1996 WSOP Main Event champ Huck Seed – and that would make sense given his history.
Seed is not only known for his poker prowess – 4 WSOP bracelets in total and $7.6million in tournament cashes.
He has also been involved in some of the craziest prop bets in the poker world, including:
- A $10k bet (some say $50k!) with Phil Helmuth that Seed could stand in the ocean water up to his shoulders for 18 hours (he lost
- A series of $5k bets in 2015 that he won’t shave or cut his hair until he wins another WSOP bracelet, within 2 years (he lost again)
- A $10k bet against Howard ‘The Professor’ Lederer that 6 foot 7inch tall Seed could learn to perform a standing backflip in two months (he won this one)
Can Huck Seed win the Bathroom Prop bet?
Nope, no way, not a snowball’s chance in hell seems to be the expert (and non-expert) opinion!

These human isolation attempts have been tried before – and the results have been scary!
In the 1960’s, French geologist Michel Siffre tried it in a darkened cave and lost track of time very quickly, later saying he was like ‘a half-crazed, disjointed marionette.’
His later attempts – including 6 months in a Texas cave 100 feet below ground – saw him lose the ability to string beads and his mind could “barely string [together] thoughts” with suicide seriously on his mind at times.
He even accidentally killed a mouse while trying to capture it for some company during his time alone.
So, good luck to Huck Seed in his attempt, but I give it two days at most before he is crying to buy out of what could be his dumbest and most dangerous prop bet yet…just ask Mike Matusow!
